It’s New Year’s Eve, the end to another year. People will be making their New Year’s resolutions for things they’re going to give up, and things they’re going to start, and everyone is getting ready for the party to end all parties for the year. But when the next morning comes, and the unavoidable headache subsides, all that’s left from the party from the night before are fuzzy memories and embarrassing photos.
It’s the photos you want to keep though, as they’re what you use to remember the great night, and how good you and everyone else looked. Party photos from the special night can be saved in albums or framed and displayed on the wall for everyone to see. Alternatively you could have your New Year’s Eve party photos printed on canvas and turned into art for your wall.
By printing your pictures on canvas you’re creating art, art that is unique to you, personal to you, and a timeless reminder of the great time you had at the party.
If you’re heading out to a New Year’s Eve party tonight, don’t forget the camera and look out for those great moments to print on canvas.

How artists can distribute their work cheaply
No comments · Posted by Kerry in Canvas Printing
Artists love to paint. They love to paint whatever comes to mind, whatever inspires them and whatever muse sparks their interest. However there is one problem with an artist’s work when they have finished it; it’s a one off. This means if they want to sell it, or give it away as a gift to a friend or family member, they’ll lose the work entirely, never to own it again.
There is a way round this, and is to make prints of the work. Making prints of artwork is fairly common, but when you create prints of a beautiful work of art, the prints can lose some of the passion, some of the flair of the original work. Prints are quite flat and uninspiring. Canvas on the other hand is a very tactile and impressive medium, one which adds character to a painting or photo. This means that you can take a copy of your painting, or drawing, and digitally print it on canvas, creating as many works of art as you need, cheaply and easily.
As an artist, by printing your work onto canvas you’re able to literally have your cake and eat it, by keeping your original artwork to enjoy forever, and by selling and giving away canvas prints of your art to other people.

This time of year every parent gets the joy of seeing their children performing in their school play. Usually this is a nativity play, where one little girl gets to play Mary and a brave little boy gets to play Joseph. The school nativity plays, when performed by younger children, are charming and delightful, with the singing, laughing and often comical attempts at remembering the lines.
Most parents try to capture the play on camera, whether that is a video camera or a static stills camera. A good idea to capture the special day of your children’s nativity is to take a photo of the play and have it printed on canvas.
By printing the nativity scene on canvas you’re capturing the moment for all time, in a medium that will last longer than a printed photo as canvas photos last longer than regular paper photos. Also, by printing the photos to canvas you’re creating artwork from your photos that can be displayed on your wall at Christmas. You’re creating a beautiful, unique and personal Christmas decoration that you can display only at Christmas, or the whole year round.
If you do decide to keep the nativity photo on canvas just as a Christmas decoration, your children will be delighted every year when it is brought out of storage and hung on the wall as a decoration.

This time of year everyone is sending Christmas cards to their loved ones, whether they live in the same home, just down the road, the other side of the country or the other side of the world! Christmas cards send a message of cheer and joy to your family and friends, a little message of happiness from you.
Rather than sending standard Christmas cards, with the same pictures on that everyone else has to send, you can send custom Christmas cards. No, we don’t mean the custom card printing services you see advertised on TV where you upload a photo, we mean a canvas Christmas card.
By using canvas printing technology you can have any of your own personal photos printed on canvas and turned into unique, one of a kind canvas prints. If you have any winter photos, ones that would make great Christmas card snow scenes, you can print them on canvas and have them turned into canvas snow scenes.
Rather than sending regular greetings cards, how about sending a custom canvas as a greetings card? It’ll show your feelings a lot better than a standard Christmas card, and it can be used as a decoration for the wall, which doubles as a Christmas present!

It’s Christmas time again- with picturesque views of white-clad countryside and once-in-a-year family meetings full of precious, unforgettable moments. Everybody is doing their best to fill the house with Christmas Spirit, and to make it stay.
With today’s advanced technology it’s easy. Every Grandpa, Mum or Dad grabs a camera and sets on a quest to ‘Capture the Christmas Spirit’. They dance around the room taking close-ups of the kids’ lightened-up faces as they unwrap their Christmas gifts, candle-lit shots with twilight effect to bring out the glowing cheeks and convey the unique atmosphere and warmth of carol-singing family reunions. They even freeze the flames in the fireplace to create heart-warming, smile-bringing pictures.
And what is the fate of these masterpieces which surely deserve to be displayed at art galleries and win prizes at photo contests? The sad truth is that most of the emotion-filled and unique photos end up as dust collectors at the bottom of a cupboard drawer.
The good news it that with the newest developments in photography this needn’t be the case. Canvas printing makes it possible for the unique, warmth-filled holiday photos to be transformed into true, high quality pieces of art.
Then, hung above the mantelpiece, they can serve as heart-lifting remainders of the precious moments with family and friends. Or make a perfect New Year’s gift, capturing the Christmas Spirit throughout all the seasons.

There is a growing trend within the United Kingdom – a genuine spirit of individuality is becoming apparent. Where once people were satisfied with mass produced works of art from chain stores, now there is a growing spirit of independence. People want their own works of art on their own walls. They want to know that the canvas on their wall does not exist anywhere else. Individuality is the new chic in the UK today.
Thanks to groundbreaking new techniques, it is now possible to have your own photos and digital picture files printed onto canvas. Families can now take quirky, sweet or abstract photographs and transfer them onto canvas at low prices and create their own unique works of art for their homes.
Printing digital files onto canvas is not restricted to photographs. Using readily available software, the new individual can either adapt morph or create from scratch truly unique pictures. At the click of a mouse, photos can be shaded, darkened, turned into a negative or virtually anything else. People today are only limited by their own imagination.
Unique works of art were once prohibitively expensive, now they can hang on the walls of people up and down the country. These works of art express a sense of individuality. They demonstrate a freedom of expression that has been lost to the population for so long. Thanks to new technologies like printing on canvas, this sense of freedom and individuality is back.

Tracing your family tree is an increasingly popular pastime. It is fascinating to see all those names on paper, but they are really brought to life by photographs, and many of us have 19th or 20th century photos of family members.
These might be faded, scratched and in a poor state of repair and could continue to deteriorate over time without careful handling and storage. But whatever their condition, with the latest technology they can be enhanced and transformed into pictures that you will be proud to display in your home.
A photograph can be scanned onto a computer, improvements made to the image, and then saved in .jpg or other format. Then you can add the picture to your family tree, either on you computer or by printing it out. From your computer you can email the picture to other family members of course. It is easy to create a whole website about your family tree with your old photos as an important feature, and it will cost you nothing. Just do an internet search on ‘free website’ and see what comes up.
It is also possible to subscribe to family history websites that have templates to make it easy for you to display your whole family tree, with photographs where appropriate. You might even like to put historic photos next to pictures of present-day family members to show how the likeness has been passed down the generations!
In bygone days it was fashionable to have a portrait painted and in many stately homes you can see the family history of past occupants proudly displayed on the walls. You could do something like this yourself, even if you don’t live in a stately home!
One or two of your favourite family tree photographs can be made into painting-style pictures, printed on canvas, that really do have the appearance of painted portraits. These can be made in a number of different sizes, depending on the size of your castle, semi or bungalow, and even small and inexpensive enough to make good presents for birthdays or Christmas.

This time of year everyone likes to dress up in their best clothes and head on out to Christmas parties. Whether they are intimate affairs with close friends, big social gatherings or the dreaded works do, the Christmas party is the place to mingle, make merry and have a jolly good time. Of course the best part of the Christmas party is the photos taken on the night, or rather the embarrassment of looking at them the next day.
When you’re dressed to your best you want to make sure that the photos taken on the night are seen by everyone (assuming nothing too embarrassing occurs). You could do this by uploading them to social networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace, sharing them with friends and family. You could have them framed and displayed on your wall, or better yet you could make canvas prints out of them and have them turned into unique canvas art for your home.
Making canvas artwork out of your Christmas party photos is a great way of cherishing those moments from the big night out, and ensures that pictures of you at your best look their best for as long as possible.

Thousands of people have been waking up in the morning this week to find the land outside their homes completely covered in snow, and the roads unmanageable. If it was at all possible, everyone has stayed in during the day rather than venture outside. Of course, just as the snow scenes outside have been cold, treacherous and inconvenient, they’ve also been very pretty indeed!
For those people that haven’t had to go outside, the winter conditions have been beautiful to look at. So beautiful in fact, that they’ve made for some great photos. Anyone with a camera and a love of photography has managed to practice their picture taking skills this week by capturing some of the great scenes on film, or digital image of course.
Once you have these pictures though, what should you do with them? Save them to your computer, print them and frame them, email them to friends? No, if you have the perfect picture, print it on canvas and make a gorgeous canvas print to display in your home. The snow covered scenes look great, but they look even better as canvas prints, hanging from your wall and enjoyed from the warmth of your home.

Remember that holiday in the summer, that special day out with your loved one or your baby’s first smile?
Like many others you probably have hundreds of photos of those special moments stored away on your pc, but nobody sees them and those precious memories can soon fade.
Photographs were made to be printed, to be thumbed through and giggled at when you’re feeling nostalgic. In this age of the digital media, are we losing the real reason for capturing that image of that special person in a flash of inspiration?
Digital photo frames, colour printers and screensavers all allow for the display of our memories.
Canvas prints made up from photographs can make artists of us all. Having a quality print created from a snapshot can be the closest we come to creating our own work of art which can be displayed in our homes or place of work. A canvas hanging on our walls reminds us a little that we all can have a creative input in our every day lives and allows for the visible preservation of cherished recollections.
Prints can instigate the imaginative use of our cameras. They can stir our desire to preserve our history in a visible manner and in a way which can be integrated into our everyday lives.
