Print photos from Facebook

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Facebook has become one of the fastest growing phenomena of the last few years. It seems that everyone has an account and uses regularly to keep in contact with their friends and family, updating their status and poking their friends. One thing people do all of the time on Facebook is upload photographs of themselves, and everyone else, at every opportunity. Whether the photos were taken at home, at a party or just out on the town, they all get uploaded to Facebook and shared with their friends.

It’s lead to a lot of pictures being taken, with digital cameras and with conventional film cameras. However very few of these photographs ever get printed, instead they just get uploaded via the social networking website.

Facebook is a great way to share photos with friends, but it’s not the best way to display photos. Photos always look their best when they are printed, whether that be printed on paper or printed on canvas. Photographs printed on canvas look much better than photos displayed on Facebook because they have their own texture, their own unique look and best of all they can be touched. You can’t touch pictures uploaded to Facebook.

Pictures are for printing

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Photographs are a physical medium, they need to be printed, seen and most of all, touched. In today’s world of digital cameras and electronic media many people take pictures, easily and cheaply, but don’t ever print them. They save the photos on their cameras, transfer them to their computers and occasionally upload them to websites or email them to friends. However today’s photographs are rarely printed.

This is a shame for photography as art form as pictures should be printed and touched. Rather than sharing pictures via websites or storing them electronically and never printing them, you should always bring your best photos to life by printing them. You could print them on paper and frame them, or better yet have them printed on canvas. Photographs printed on canvas bring the pictures to life and show their best qualities.

As photographs should be printed, and the best of them deserve to be printed, why not have your photos printed on canvas and make canvas photos of your best pictures.

Graduation pictures printed on canvas

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

When your child graduates from university it’s one of the proudest moments of their, and your, life. Seeing them dressed in their university gown with their mortar and being presented with their degree scroll is a memory to treasure. However the day can be expensive. You have to rent the gown and mortar, the family travel to the university for the day and the official photos are costly.

Instead of spending money on the official pictures you could take your own photos and have them printed on canvas. Canvas prints of your child receiving their official university degree is a great way to remember the day and to show your child how proud you are of them.

Canvas photos look splendid displayed on your wall, and a personalised canvas print of your child’s big day would make a great treasured memento of all of the hard work and effort they have made to gain their degree.

Remember you can buy the official photo of the day, but they are expensive and you can’t have them printed on canvas due to copyright reasons. If you take your own pictures, it’s cheaper and you can have the photos printed on canvas.

Photos to Canvas – Bringing those wonderful memories back to life

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Searching through our swathes of stored memorabilia and past experiences we always come across that old box of photos in the back of the wardrobe, you delve into it and the memories just come flooding back!….
”Do you remember when…..” & “I wish I could go there again right now, we had such a wonderful time….”. We’ve all said it and done nothing about it, putting the box away and forgetting all about it. The memory store grows but we never bother to relive them!

A photo to canvas is one way of reliving those moments all over again, again & again! Infact, once you’ve hung it, you’ll never forget it, the memories just get stronger and more vivid as it all comes back to you each time you admire it! And with the latest technologies available in photo editing, like blemish removal and cropping/re-sizing, you can achieve spectacular results. Technological advancements in printing, colour balancing and visual effects can optimise the image for that perfect capture, the moment frozen in time but on continual replay every time you look at it.

To enhance any room and personalise your own space there’s nothing more personal than a photo that you took or even posed for! That great snapshot of the lake at dusk, or sunrise over the garden fence, anything is possible once you have that unique digital photo, you know, the one you created. A photo to canvas is one sure way of reliving all those memorable moments and it’s an opportunity to show others how creative you can really be.

If you’ve ever considered purchasing artwork, maybe it’s time to think photo to canvas and create your own masterpiece, the options are almost boundless.

Collect original artwork with your own photos

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Everyone would love to be able to afford to collect original artwork and display it in their homes, but sadly we’re not all blessed with the wealth required to own an original Andy Warhol. This doesn’t mean however that we need to give up on owning our own artwork, quite the opposite in fact. By using your own photographs as a starting point you can create your own canvas art by taking your photos and having them printed on canvas.

Canvas has emerged in the last few years as a popular medium for printing photographs onto because it looks like original artwork when the pictures are displayed on the wall. By taking your own photographs and turning them into canvas prints, you’re not only creating artwork, you’re creating original artwork that is personalised to your own tastes and lifestyle.

The art could take the form of photos of your children, or pictures from your wedding, or even photos from your holiday. It’s your choice and your own personal artwork printed on canvas.

Are photos on canvas art?

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

When looking for different ways to print your photographs, one way you could come up with is to print them on canvas. Photos printed on canvas look like pictures, but they also have the effect of looking like art. The question is, are photos on canvas art, or just impressive looking canvas prints?

Canvas art is traditionally something that is painted with oils or water colours, and visualises the ideas of the artist in a unique and interesting way. This is exactly what photography does, as it acts as an extension of the imagination of the photographer. When photography is printed on canvas, it takes the photographs to the next level of artistry, and allows the images to be printed on a substance that brings out the best of their qualities. Canvas adds to the texture of the pictures and gives them a special quality that isn’t present on photos printed on paper.

Photos on canvas are definitely an art form, one that you can afford, and can create yourself with your own personalised photographs.

Why photos on canvas are better than framed pictures

Monday, August 11th, 2008

When you’re looking to have photos displayed in your home, you can decide whether you want them printed and framed, or whether you want your photos on canvas. The overall effect of photos printed on canvas is very different to framed photographs, and better in many ways.

Firstly, with picture frames you need to choose one that matches your home. You may want dark wood, or light wood, or maybe even metal to match a modern designed room. The trouble then is you can’t move them from one room to the next as they won’t match every room. With photos on canvas that isn’t a problem, because the photograph is the frame. It will go in a modern room or an older styled room just the same. Plus if you buy several frames for your photographs, and then want some more a year or so later, it can be very difficult to find a frame that matches. With canvas prints you don’t have that problem.

If you want your photos to dominate the room, framing them isn’t an option unless you’re looking at a poster sized frame and print, which is very expensive and very flat. It’s better to have a textured, eye catching photo on canvas when looking for photos to be big enough to dominate the room.

Photos of your children printed on canvas

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Children grow so up fast in today’s modern age that parents need to make sure they spend as much quality time with them as possible. Taking photos of your children is a great way to ensure you remember the different stages of their life, and notice the subtle differences in their development.

You can keep photographs of your children in photo albums, saving them carefully on shelves or in drawers, but they’re not visible when friends and family come to call. It’s better to have your most cherished photos displayed on the wall so that others can see them. Rather than opting for the typical framed pictures, your children’s photos would look even more radiant when printed on canvas.

Canvas prints of photos of your children will help to bring out the best in them. The artistic texture of canvas makes the photographs look much more alive and gives them a special feel all of their own.

With your children’s photos printed on canvas and displayed on your wall you’re creating beautiful artwork involving your children.

Photos on canvas, a new way to display your wedding photos

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Every couple wants to show their wedding photos to family and friends as much as they can. They represent the most important day of your life and should show the husband and wife in a happy, radiant light.

Rather than the usual methods for displaying wedding photos, such as wedding albums and photo frames, you could consider having the photos of your special day printed on canvas. Canvas prints of wedding photos make the bride and groom look better than any other media as the canvas grain helps to highlight the best features of the photograph.

Turning your wedding photos to canvas works is a great way of creating an original piece of art for your home, based on your wedding day. They act as wonderful reminders of a great marriage, and can also be used as gifts for other members of the family, such as the parents of the bride and groom.

Wedding albums are fine for keeping your wedding photos, but to display your best wedding pictures you want the most beautiful method possible, and printing your photos onto canvas is a beautiful way to display your pictures.
