Breathe life and colour into small spaces

When you move into a house, whether it’s rented or bought, the walls around you never feel like home until they’re decorated. Your home is an expression of your taste and personality, from choosing the first coat of paint to refreshing tired-looking rooms that you’ve inhabited for several years.

If your home contains small rooms or enclosed spaces, bright colours can often seem garish or uncomfortable to live in. However, by adding a canvas print to a neutral wall you can inject colour into a room, to create a dramatic effect or cosy feeling without overpowering your surroundings.

Canvas prints can also solve the problem of how to display your favourite photographs if you’re short of empty surfaces to hold frames. Images can be transferred straight onto canvas to create a classic print, or alternatively you can bring a contemporary feel to your living space by stylising your photos to look like an Andy Warhol print or a comic book illustration. Colour effects can also be added to tie your print in with your curtains or furniture.

For the DIY-shy, opting for a canvas print is tidier and less time consuming than painting and can also save on money. Pictures can easily be replaced too, when your tastes have moved on and you’re ready for a change of image.
